Children

	The nursery ministry at Lakeside teaches basic Biblical truths in an age appropriate manner and to allow parents an opportunity for spiritual growth, knowing their chidlren are receiving quality, loving care. The nursery ministry is an exciting ministry with "new additions" added often. Our nursery is divided into four areas in order to give the children the best care possible. The cradle roll is located adjacent to our auditorium in the Worship Center and our 1's, 2's and 3's are located in the education building. Our nursery caregivers usually serve one time per month. There is no previous experience required - just a love for the children.
	AWANA exists to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. Meets during the school year on Wednesday evenings at 6:45PM. AWANA clubs are located throughout the education building. Activities include game time, scripture memory, awards, special theme nights, trips, AWANA Olympics, Sparks-a-Rama, quizzing, scholarship camp and much more! "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)
Joymakers	Joymakers is a group of excited servants who minister at Friendship manor in Roanoke. A group of families assist Sue Huffman's ministry once a month on a Monday and/or Tuesday night from 6:30-8:00. Another group of families minister to residents on the second Tuesday of each month from 10:30-12:00.
	Various classes take place on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for teaching children the Word of God. Trained teachers provide a growing atmosphere for children of all ages.
	Bridge 56 (5th/6th Grades) takes place on Sunday evenings at 6:00. This time of fun, teaching, and music helps transition youth from children's ministry into student ministry.
